The TWENTY-SEVENTH Annual Five Mile Run for the benefit of the Cape May Point Vol. Fire Co. will be held June 17th, 2006 at 9:00AM with the 2 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 AM. The flat, fast and well marked course stays within the town limits and provides views of many interesting and historical features of the community. First Aid and radio communications are readily available. Complementary beverages and refreshments are provided after the race. The Award Ceremony immediately follows the run.

 

AWARDS: 2 Mile Fun Run: Trophies for the first 3 runners, age category ribbons. 5 Mile Run: trophies for top 3 male and top 3 female runners. Trophies for top 3 male and top 3 female runners in all age categories (10 and under, 11.15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 plus). Trophies for special categories such as first  Lifeguard, Fireman, Policeman, Coast Guard, Cape May Point resident, Masters, Golden Masters, and

more! Team trophies for Lifeguards and others.

 

DIRECTIONS to Cape May Point Fire Station; From exit Zero on the Garden State Parkway, go right onto

Ferry Rd. Straight at the next signal. Take jug handle (right) at the next signal to continue on Ferry Rd.

(west). Left at the next signal (Co. Rd.626) over the canal approximately 3 miles to the next signal

(Broadway in West Cape May). Right at this signal. Then 1.8 miles to Cape Avenue (just past Lighthouse Ave.) Left at Cape Ave. Straight through the circle. Left one block after the circle (Yale Ave.). Fire Station is on the right Free parking is available at the State Park.
