MINUTES February 13, 2008

 

The February 13,2008 regular meeting of the Planning Board of the Borough of Cape May Point was called to order by Chairperson Ann Brecker. The Open Public Meetings Act statement was read, this meeting has been advertised, and a notice of the meeting date has been posted on the Bulleting Board in the lobby of the Municipal Building on Lighthouse Avenue, Cape May Point, NJ.

 

ROLLCALL:

Members present: Ann Brecker, Tom Larkin, John Henderson, Kathy Hogarty, Joan Brown, and Chuck Blackinton

Absent: John McGraw, Carl Schupp, and Joe Westcott Present: Attorney Kay and Secretary Davis

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES of Meetings of January 9, 2007

Motion to approve: Tom Larkin

Second: John Henderson

Roll Call Voting Yes: Ann Brecker, Tom Larkin, John Henderson, Joan Brown, and Charles Blackinton

 

Registration for Class in March

Chairperson Brecker discussed the class being held by the New Jersey Planning Officials in Cape May Court House on the 9th of March. This will be the only class offered within Cape May County this year. Chairperson Brecker announced that all members of the Planning Board have taken the mandatory required Land Use Class, and passed this class.

 

Board Member Information and Business

The Board members received a copy of the Cape May Point Annual 2007 Environmental Commission Report. The report discussed Triangle Park, a Tree Survey, and Battery Recycling Program. They are looking into doing an ERI update. They will be attending a field trip to the ACUA Facility on January 9,2008. Members discussed the possibility of "Wet Park", and Chairperson Brecker will bring this up at the next Environmental Commission Meeting and report back to the Planning Board.

 

No Members of the Public Were in Attendance at this Meeting.

Chairperson Brecker discussed the possibility of canceling the March meeting, and would advise members at a later date if this meeting would be cancelled. A notice would be put on the Borough Hall Bulletin Board, and advertised in the Cape May Star and Wave.

 

A motion was made by Kathy Hogarty and seconded by Tom Larkin to adjourn the meeting, all members present voting yes on roll call vote.
